Basketball: River Plate won at the end and advanced to the round of 16

River Plate secured their place in the round of 16 of the Federal League after defeating Urquiza of Santa Elena 68-66 in a thrilling finish. With this result, the River team closed the round of 32 series and advanced to the next stage of the tournament.

The game was very even and changing. River dominated the start of the game, but the home team reacted and reached the last quarter with an advantage. In a high-intensity finish, Juan Pablo Venegas Schaefer kept River in the game with outstanding free-throw accuracy and, when it seemed like the match was heading to overtime, Genaro Lorio scored the decisive basket with one second remaining to seal the victory and the qualification.

With this triumph, River Plate basketball continues its journey in the Federal League and is already preparing to face Caza y Pesca on Sunday, July 12 at 8 pm in the club's Microstadium.
