On the weekend of March 14th and 15th, the swimming team had a standout performance in a new edition of the Escualo Anniversary Tournament in Tandil, where they were crowned champions in the Child and Minor categories with 27 medals.
The delegation of River Plate swimmers was accompanied by coaches Antonella Cartazzo and Gustavo Langone. The team obtained a total of 27 medals: 14 gold, 5 silver, 8 bronze, and achieved third place in the overall tournament classification.
Among the most notable results were the victories of Felipe Castagnasso in 100 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 50 freestyle, and 50 breaststroke (Child category), and of Regina González, who won in 100 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 50 freestyle, and 100 medley (Child category). Lola Sztamfater Hernández in 50 backstroke (Child), Sofía Fidalgo González in 50 breaststroke (Child), and Francesca Martinolli in 50 breaststroke (Minor) also stood out.
River also secured gold medals in relay events: 4x50 mixed freestyle in the Minor category (Martinolli, Ponce, Castañón, and Gómez), 4x50 mixed freestyle in the Child category (González, Di Como, Castagnasso, and Sztamfater), and 4x50 mixed medley.
Additionally, the team added five silver medals and eight bronze medals in various individual events, completing an outstanding performance that reaffirms the growth and high level of the Club's formative swimming.
